Before its starts to get carried away...Instead of having a bunch of different threads pertaining to who the Pats should get, like Mario Williams, Mario Manningham, Robert Meachem. Im not trying to call anyone out but just think as an organizational thing it makes more sense to have them in one central thread. That we can look back at to see thoughts on Potential players we want, w/o having to look through 30 different threads:
Here are a few I like:

Brandon Llyod- Pretty much said he was following McDaniels wherever he went.Dont think he will cost as much as people think as he has said he care more about his legacy than money and can add a huge weapon do our already potent offense.

Jason Allen- Former 1st round CB spent the year with the Texans after being waived by Miami, has good size at 6-1 and is the type of player BB likes to take a chance on.

Dashon Goldson- After seeing the Patriots constant success and almost signing here last year Goldson. SF wont be able to sign Alex Smith, C.Rogers and Goldson, and hes the odd man out. Goldson is an immediate upgrade for our secondary is a decent tackler and makes plays on the ball(6 INT).

The 49ers would be stupid, absolutely stupid, not to franchise Goldson. The franchise tag amount for a safety is likely to be a fair bit less than Weddle got last year and Goldson would get on the open market.

They have nearly $40M in cap room. They can easily re-sign Smith (who won't break the bank), Goldson and Rogers (though he's the guy I could see leaving) and still be aggressive in adding external pieces.

Jason Allen is terrible. I don't see him as being an upgrade over Antwuan Molden and/or Sterling Moore. I guess signing a few of those scrap heap type DB's could work - hope that one or 2 stick in camp. But I wouldn't count on him to add much.

Other guys that could make sense:

Ahmad Brooks
Mike Adams
Kendall Langford
Eddie Royal
Wallace Gilberry
Jeremy Mincey
Trevor Scott
Red Bryant
Leroy Hill

Good call on Kendall Langford. The Dolphins aren't going to keep both Langford and Paul Soliai. He's basically a better version of Deaderick - could start for us at end in the 3-4 and can slide in on passing downs.

Why not? One is a NT and one is a 3-4 DE...it's not like they don't need both.

Because both are going to want starter's money and they already have 2 guys who project as starters (Starks & Odrick). If they're using a 3-4 or a 4-3 hybrid, they don't need 4 heavy DL making starter's money. It's not inconceivable they'd bring them both back, but only if one takes a hometown discount.

I would love if the Pats got Calais Campbell.
