Schefter's reporting the Chiefs are using the tag on Bowe.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7615420/source-kansas-city-chiefs-franchise-dwayne-bowe-two-sides-reach-deal

Well, there goes our dreams of tagging Carr and getting picks for him.
However, I think this may help with us getting Manning. With Bowe being here for sure, the Chiefs have to look like an amazing team to go to.

I haven't heard this...but if this is happening we sure as hell better be signing Carr! I mentioned to a friend that this idea could happen, toss in our first and a fifth...

I'm pretty sure I'd hate this move, because in my opinion it drastically forces our hands in the draft and FA. We would need to replace our number 1 WR, upgrade the O-line in FA...which probably negates our ability to sign Carr.

But I'm not gonna freak out about this too much until I hear it from some reliable source. Or even a rumor of a source. This sounds like she heard someone say we should do this...

I found on roto world that someone has already made a preliminary offer to the the rams. That is confirmed it is speculation as to the deal but it sounds as if its for the 2nd pick and the CHiefs are the first mentioned on the list.

I think Bigs said it in another thread, but trading the pick early makes a ton of sense for the rams and less for everyone else.

Article on NFL.com says Skins willing to trade multiple (2) first rounders and multiple mid to late rounders ...seems like a lot...and seems like too much for them to pass up for Bowe and a pick...but guess we'll see.

Just read the article on Roto. Basically list every team needing a QB and every team that interviewed him at the combine. I think just because we are listed first might not be too much reason to get excited...though secrecy makes sense with our team, especially if you consider the "Matt's our guy," aspect.

If we trade Bowe to get RG3 I will not approve untill he wins a Superbowl.

I would rather change my stance on trade to many draft picks. Then trade Bowe.

I have a complete man-crush on RG3. I would be willing to trade Bowe, but would prefer to give up picks. I would give up every pick we have this draft to get RG3.

Hey at least doing that we would still have bowe, and could sign a RT and NT in FA.

Trading Bowe makes sense if you think about it this way.

Washington is willing to give up this year's first, next years first and multiple mid round picks and STL only moves back 4 slots.

Cleveland could give up 2 first this year, plus a smatering of other picks and STL only moves back 2 spots.

I really see us trading Bowe as the ONLY way we have dog in this fight...without grossly overpaying by using 3 firsts plus other picks.

EDIT: I am in now way condoning this...just stating what I believe to be a fact.

Yeah I'm really high on RGIII too, he's gonna be a good one.

Wouldn't mind trading as much as we could to draft him.

Trade picks for RG3, franchise Bowe, sign RT Anthony Collins and NT Paul Soliai.

Starters would be...

QB: Robert Griffin III
HB: Jamaal Charles
WR: Dwayne Bowe
WR: Jon Baldwin
WR: Steve Breaston
TE: Tony Moeaki
LT: Branden Albert
LG: Ryan Lilja
C: Rodney Hudson
RG: Jon Asamoah
RT: Anthony Collins

DE: Glenn Dorsey
NT: Paul Soliai
DE: Tyson Jackson
OLB: Tamba Hali
ILB: Jovan Belcher/Brandon Siler
ILB: Derrick Johnson
OLB: Justin Houston
CB: Brandon Flowers
FS: Kendrick Lewis
SS: Eric Berry
CB: Stanford Routt

Looks pretty damn good to me.

I like RG3 and would love him on our team. Bowe is just my favorite player in the NFL atm. So that's the main reason I don't wanna trade him plus I don't trust Baldwin and Breaston to get the job done.

Also why take away our best or second best offensive player away from a rookie QB. We gave Cassel all the talent for success. Why give less to a rookie that we would want to be successful.

But anywho I would be in your boat trading all our picks to get him if it meant we gotta
keep Bowe.

well Eric Berry is my favorite player in the NFL right now, but as soon as Griffin gets here as a Chief he will overtake Eric. Bottom line I love Bowe, but I love RG3 moarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I also don't think it's wise to get rid of RG3's #1 target (assuming we got him) so I don't want Bowe to leave at all.

How about this for a proposed trade:

#'s 1, 3, 5, 6 this year
#'s 1, 5 next year
Conditional pick(s) in 2014: If we win the SB #1 and #3 if we make it to the Conference Championship game #1, if we make the playoffs #2, 5
