Not to read too much into beat writer's tweets, but Could we pick up a legit #1/2 receiver over DHB? |
But DHB only dropped 6 passes! |
in the Packer game? |
the first half of the Packer game |
Missed the 1st half. Had to work outside. DVR'd the game but deleted as soon as I saw the score in the 2nd half when I got home. _________________

NFLN just reported the Chargers are planning on cutting Marcus McNiell, saving $10 million.
He's not the same he was in his prime, but he's still very good. It'll be nice to get him out of the division. _________________ Bah-Weep-Granah-Weep-Nini-Bong

The hit Curry put on him that ended his season was plain nasty. Curry may have some flaws in his game, but there is no questioning his intensity which hopefully will rub off on some of our players... Cough...McClain...cough. |

That means they tag or resign Gaither, who played like top 5 LT for them late, so we might not like this that much after all...
Why couldn't we gave Gaither a year on a min deal, now we would look better...but again I'm confident with Jared Veldheer at LT... _________________ WIN LOSE OR TIE...RAIDER FAN 'TIL I DIE!! |

He has always been able to play at a top level for spells, his problem has been playing a whole season at a high level. I think this has more to do with McNeil having serious health concerns. Gaithers performance late just makes it a easier move in SD eyes but I would see Gaither instead of McNeil twice a year.
If McNeil clears a medical, I would snatch him up in a second. |

I wonder if they bring Zac Etheridge back. By all acounts he played well before getting injured in camp. And if I remember correctly there was some talk he could be back this season. Not a major move but could help in the UDFA area.
EDIT: lol, looks like he is still claiming Raider Nation.

I liekd him. Same with Gbadyu. I was hoping them and Moore would at least stay on the PS but for whatever reason Al/Hue's staff didn't retain anyone I liked. _________________

Ya instead we kept 4 TE's and Boyd. Then we kept Ware and Miller who we cut anyways.
Etheridge was injured but if healthy I hope he gets another shot.
No matter all the draft pick mistakes I scracth my head the most at releasing S. Moore. He was the best CB all offseason and to keep ware in front of him is shameful. |

Some random things regarding the team that I got off of Vittorio Tafur's twitter.
| Eddie Borsilli wrote: | | Allen non committal on Wimbley, saying that no decisions have been made and they will continue to evaluate |
| Eddie Borsilli wrote: | | Allen "Jason Tarver is a young energetic talented coach, who has an answer for everything" |
| Eddie Borsilli wrote: | | "Carson Palmer is athletic enough to run the style of offense that Matt Schaub ran in Houston" |
| Eddie Borsilli wrote: | | Darren McFadden will be ready to go when they get started. He was in town last week, working out |
Good to know that DMC is working out and will be ready to go. Were going to need him. Just think how good we could be if he stayed healthy for 14 or more games this season. _________________

Jerry McD just had a plethora of tweets from Allen's interview at the combine also, for anyone who wants to go look em up. Essentially the same types of things. _________________ Bah-Weep-Granah-Weep-Nini-Bong

Here's the Q&A Transcript for those of you who want to read.
Sounds really similar to what we're doing in FFMD, in terms of defense. _________________

| Quote: | Q: McFadden chronic foot problems, anything organization has looked at, practice fields, etc.?
Allen: We’re looking at everything within the organization, how we can improve in every aspect of the organization, and obviously practice fields is one of the things that we’re looking at. Is there something we can do to improve that, and is their a correlation between the foot injuries and the practice fields. If we can deduce there is a correlation between the two we’ll do everything we can to get them right. |
so its the practice fields fault? _________________

There are definitely some issues with foot problems with this team. So they need to do their due dilegence with everything. And the field may be a part of the problem. They may need to sink some money into improvements if they want to keep their high priced investments on the field.
I would be more inclined to change the shoes the team wears. Ford had an issue and DMC continues to have foot issues. If it was my feet I would certainly change up my footwear. Screw what the league wants you to wear. If it ain't working, make the change and deal with the fallout later. _________________

| Quote: | | We suspect the Raiders will ultimately decide against franchising Bush, and instead sign a relatively affordable free agent to compete with Taiwan Jones behind McFadden. |
| Quote: | Forsett has ties to Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Knapp, as well as new Bears quarterbacks coach Jeremy Bates.
Prediction: Raiders on a two-year, $5 million contract. |
