No worries he was mocking Packers fans, I think Packers fans have learned not to post about their players on this site.

I like Finley, who doesn't? But I miss the "Gronk isn't even on the same level as Finley" threads and how Packer fans were insulted at the comparisons

I'm not a fan of Finley, but all the Packers fans seem to like him. I guess its a good deal if the Packers/Finley/Packers fans are happy.

Stick to the topic and discuss the news. We don't need to discuss fans or comment on what happened in some other topic last year.

Interesting. Feel like he could have at least gotten more years on the open market. Dumb decision by him.

Maybe he realizes his less than stellar 2011 made him less attractive to other teams? I did see him tweet that he was happy to have this behind him and was glad to be a Packer. I hope we see his 2009 game in 2012 and not his 2011 dropsies.

Clearly I need to apply to be a professional NFL pitch-man. Finley never would have made this move otherwise!!!

But seriously, good for him. Sure he'll get a big pay day in 2 years if he can continue to progress.

Lol then whats the point of being a Packer fan on this site? Its ok to talk a player up, just not so overboard like it was with Finley at the begininng of last year.

Good signing.

What people miss so much when it comes to Finley is that his value is way beyond his ability to catch the ball or not. Yes, it would be nice if he had Cris Carter like hands. He doesn't. What makes him worth every single penny of this contract is the fact that he is a defensive coordinators nightmare...he is a mismatch monster. He is way too big for a corner to cover and way too fast for a LB. What that means is he nearly requires double coverage or at the very least extra attention in the defensive scheming.

In other words, Finley's skill set allows Green Bay to do many of the things it does. He is an important piece to the offense, even if he doesn't catch every ball thrown his way, or even if he misses a game from time to time with injury.

On top of that, if he ever learns to find the handle on the ball with that size/speed ratio, the league won't be able to stop him.

I think it was smart for both Finley and GB to get this deal done.

I am really surprised that Finley would have been willing to settle with a 2 year deal when he most likely could have gotten a 6-7 year deal on the market.

Yea most likely we overpaid a little to have him stay for those 2 years.
