Man I am loving this!

Between Schiano, Davis, Cooper and Sullivan these guys have worked with and made some real monsters! The potential this staff has WOW. We all know potential alone will not get it done though.

Morris Claiborne welcome to Tampa!

Only player besides Barber that has ball skills is Aqib Talib. This coach has worked with some good talent and developed them nicely. I think though we need to bring him better players in here though. I like the hire, this could be a sign for Claiborne. But, things are going to get more clear depending how free agency pans out.

i like that cooper has not only defensive coordinator experience (most recently with south carolina) but also head coaching experience at three colleges.

bryan cox might turn out to be a good hire too.

even the guy from rutgers who we signed, bob fraser, has experience as a defensive coordinator at the college level.

on the offensive side, I liked the face that former rutgers assistant pj fleck was going to be an offensive coordinator at niu. even if it it's not college experience, it's a good sign that people trust him enough to offer him the job. maybe he's a youngry coach.

raye's resume as an offensive coordinator didnt look great, but just like davis, hopefully he will help a first time coordinator not make his mistakes.

but the bottom line is that the more people looking at film and game planning the better. getting assistants on both sides of the ball should help offset not landing the big name coordinators.

Not the end all for us picking Claiborne, but great hire nonetheless. Like the Wisconsin o-line coach hire, LSU always has beast DB's, so this guy must be at least good. I love the hire.

Except for Sheridan, I am very happy with our coaching hires.

Yeah, Wisconsin has had a great line for a lot longer. I remember the LSU teams from 5-10 years ago always had way more depth/talent on the line than in the secondary. But lately, even with their depth on the DL, their DBs have been monsters. Watching the 1st Alabama game from this past season, their DBs were flying all over the field. Reid especially. I know CB is everyone's big concern, but maybe we can look forward to better safety play.

I'm really impressed with the coaching staff that we have put together. Another quality coach.

Couldn't agree any more. This might have been a steal for Schiano. Cooper has developed strong, physical, and top notch secondaries during his tenure at LSU. On top of that, NFL talent as well.

Schiano has really done a good job.

With you on that, however, I still think Sheridan wasn't as bad as people think. I did some research. Season ending injuries, 30+ turnovers by the offense, kinda trashed that 5-0 , #1 defensive start in 09.

This has got me very excited, enough to have a 'whoop' at my desk at work during my tea-break. We are acquiring a number of coaches who could have high ceilings in terms of coaching skill-sets. The Schiano hire is coming along nicely for me. Now bring on FA and the draft! Smile
