Based on character, performance or any other variable you think is important, what three players would you stay away from at 17?
Here's my three:
1) DT Travis Johnson: I don't like DTs in the first and TJ had only a solid college career. He's only the best because the position is thin this year.
2) DE Erasmus James: Just have a bad feeling about this guy's ankles. Ankle problems are tough to heal and he seems soft and ineffective if his speed isn't 100%.
3) T Kalif Barnes: Taking Levi might have been a reach at 10 a couple years back, but taking Barnes at 17 would be a mistake.
Who don't you like? _________________

1)Travis Johnson- character issues scare me
2)Pac-Man Jones- haven't heard a lot of good things about him.
3)Erasmus James-just half of a good season scares me away. I would like to see 2 or 3 years of solid production before a first rouder is spent on him.
There's my three, but i could be wrong. In Marvin we trust. |

Actually, Antajj is the dope smoker. Castillo was the steroid user.
My three would be:
1) Travis Johnson - could easily be a locker room cancer
2) Heath Miller - I honestly don't think he is that much of an upgrade. We already have an injured pass catcher in Schobel... Seriously, though, I have heard him compared to Frank Wycheck. He is not a Heap or Gates. I'd rather wait a couple of rounds and get Everett.
3)Matt Jones - couldn't come up with a 3rd possible pick at 17 that would upset me. I just fear Matt because there have been plenty of athletic, unproven athletes that have not made it in the NFL, let alone in a position they haven't played. He could be another Hines Ward, but I am not sure if the risk is worth the reward...
