I like the boldness of your suggestion, I think you get the concept of this thread. These are the type of "crazy it might work" offseason moves that are so random that one of them could just happen.
I think its an good trade, but the draft pick should be higher than a 5th and, IMO, at least a 4th.
Preferred Trade Scenario:
Hernandez < Thomas & 3rd

Herno has done more than Thomas ever could do.

That's a joke of a trade. |

You're really underrating DT. I wouldn't trade Hernandez for him but DT is going to be a pretty good WR. _________________

If he learns how to run routes, catch consistently and can get/stay healthy. |

It's not exactly fair to criticize a guy's route running and hands when he's got Tim Tebow throwing to him. _________________

He had the same problems coming out of college and exhibited the same problems with Orton.
Tebow sucks, but Thomas is still a very raw product. His injuries and the coaching/QB change in Denver have slowed his development.
You can blame Tebow for not getting him the ball, but if he's still a poor route runner and he drops too many easy passes for a top WR.
Does he have potential? Sure. But he's an unfinished product and he's just as likely to never quite develop as he is to put all the pieces together. |

You have to wonder why Josh selected him. |

I guess he did extremely well in interviews, breaking down film, and has a high football IQ. _________________

He will be quite expensive. I think we should stick with Connolly/Wendell/McDonald. _________________

Pass. The Pats can get by with some combo of Connolly/Wendell/Koppen/McDonald/Draft pick
Wells would be a great player for the Pats but it's not worth spending the $$ on IMO. |

He wants top 5 center money and he was horrible in 2010. |

People said the same about Chad Jackson, who was reportedly great at the combine interview in breaking down schemes and diagramming plays and such. |
