Sorry. Didn't mean to offend.
Welker plays the slot well. He has really done well in that position. I don't agree with your statement that he is only a "scat back".
I would take Welker over Cruz simply because he has been doing it for so long and so well. He is a reliable receiver who knows his role.
Cruz is an up and comer but I want to see more than one year out of him.
Also, I don't care about my post count and I dunno who EnglishLion is but I'm guessing he cares about post count?

| I would have to agree that Welker is simply a scat back lined up where a slot receiver would line up. He can not go deep and his route tree as a whole is limited to very short routes. If he was to play the actual slot role, he wouldn't be able to do it. |
