Where are you reading this? |
I'm not reading it. I'm getting texts from a friend close enough to the situation. Apparently they're trying to put Bryz in the deal. |
Good luck with that. Bryzgalov is one of the most unmovable players in the league at this point.
Dreger says the Jackets want JVR, Bobrovski, & Schenn/Couturier. |
They've lowered their demands to JVR, Bob, and Read apparently, but that's still too much IMO.
I still don't see how we can even fit Nash under the cap. _________________

Are we really trading JVR?
Why the hell does every goal tender suck here in Philly. I mean at this point I'd prefer Biron over Bryz _________________

The two first goals the Penguins got Really Bryz...
And the third in a 5-3 situation... Christ.
Any updates on all the trading? _________________

According to Hockey, and a couple of other people online that I've read (even heard on the radio) They are trying to include Bryz in a deal for Nash.
Reps for Columbus were reportedly in town yesterday to try to hammer out a deal.
I heard that JVR-Bryz-Read-and a 1st would be a possible offer on the radio for Nash and Mason.Eklund also reported something similar
In other Eklund news the Flyers are also trying to go after a goalie, according to Ek theres talk of Evgeni Nabakov, Josh Harding, and Ben Bishop (#OneofTheseThingsJustDoesntBelongHere)
*What doesn't belong? The 25 year old 6-7 goalie who has only been active in 6 NHL games.*
If somehow we would be able to swing a deal for Nash and Nabakov and could trot out

Its in Florida
Also Bryz is a strange dude in and out of goal, he makes a great saves and lets up some of the softest goals I've ever seen. _________________

Bryzgalov isn't going anywhere. Either get behind the guy, or find another club to root for. The media and fan base in this city is infuriating at times. Every single loss is blamed solely on the goaltender, and this has been happening for years and years with no end in sight. This guy has shown in the past that he can be an elite goaltender in the NHL. We signed him to fix a problem that had been plaguing our club for nearly two decades, and I still expect him to do just that in the long-term. This is a player who has posted a save percentage of .920 or higher in three of the past four seasons, and was the runner-up to the Vezina in 2010. In my opinion, he's still adjusting to a new city, team, and defense, and his comments after yesterday's game support that claim.
Clearly he has to play better, but at the same time I don't see people criticizing Giroux for his moronic passes that led to both SHG's yesterday. Solid defensive teams don't consistently leave their goalie out to dry, and we've done that far too many times this season. Hopefully our new defensive additions help to correct these mistakes, and Bryz can finally get into a rhythm.

Go Flyers |
How long is it going to take the guy to adjust though? Bobrovsky played much better in his first season in Philadelphia last season and he was not only adjusting to a new team and system, but a new league as well. Why has it taken so long for a veteran to adjust when it took no time for a rookie to do so? And a lot of the goals he has let up have been soft as charmin, thats not an adjustment issue thats a Bryz issue.
Also to say find a new team to root for or get behind him is moronic, and I'll give you an example why, I don't like Andy Reid as the Eagles coach but I am 100% behind my Eagles and won't root for another team. Just because you dislike a player or coach doesn't mean you should root for a new team, thats just an ignorant thing to say.
I'll back Bryz when his play warrants backing, until then he doesn't deserve it. _________________

It's called rooting for the players that put on the Flyers sweater. The constant negativity isn't going to fix the problem, nor will it help Bryzgalov. I don't see what's wrong with supporting a guy when he's going through a rough patch. In fact, that's when people need it the most. I would love to see more Flyers supporters show some faith in the guy due to his track record. You wouldn't believe what some people were yelling when he got yanked during yesterday's tilt. _________________

I just don't think Bryz has the mental capacity to play in this city, just my opinion. _________________
