| Quote: | | Chief Kamachi has been on the grind, delivering commanding verses on wax since the late 90’s. Beginning with features and collaborations with The Last Emperor, Jedi Mind Tricks, AG, Sway & Tech, and many more. Kamachi has been taking full advantage of any and every opportunity to record. He’s also a member of East Coast super group, Army Of The Pharaohs, and frontman of his own super group The JuJu Mob. After releasing countless singles, and cameos, Kamachi finally released his debut solo album - Cult Status - in 2004, blazing the underground with the single “The Best” featuring The Legendary Guru. Afterwards, Kamachi and The JuJu Mob released Black Candles, inspired by the relentless approach of Golden Era legends. In 2010, he released The Clock of Destiny. |
Chief Kamachi is also a former member of the Army Of The Pharaohs (A Jedi Mind Tricks affiliated group)
| Quote: | | The original incarnation of the group (AOTP) included five MCs: Vinnie Paz, Chief Kamachi, Esoteric, Virtuoso and Bahamadia, along with Jedi Mind Tricks producer Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind and producer/DJ 7L (of 7L and Esoteric fame). The group released their debut EP/single "The Five Perfect Exertions" b/w "War Ensemble" in 1998. Both tracks were later included on JMT's 2000 album Violent by Design; with "The Five Perfect Exertions" being remixed into "Exertions Remix", and both "Exertions" and "War Ensemble" shedding Chief Kamachi's appearance. The Army of the Pharaohs project was put on the back-burner while JMT's career took off. |
Kamachi's departure from the group was said to be for "business reasons". _________________

AP_ALL_DAY_28's Song of the Day
Artist: G. Dot & Born
Song: Makin' Tracks [Feat. Edo G]
Album: TBD
Producer: Confidence
Label: Family and Money Ent.
Year: 2012
On this Sunday morning I bring you guys "Makin' Tracks." I never heard of G. Dot & Born before, but I have heard of Confidence (He produced one of the best hip-hop albums of 2011). And Edo G is a legend, so I gave this track a listen because how can you go wrong with Edo G & Confidence? And man I'm glad I gave this a listen, that production is straight fire, and Edo killed it.
But anyways about G. Dot & Born, like I said I know nothing about either one of these two guys, but I do know that both of them are upcoming emcee's from Boston and they got a legendary emcee from Boston (Edo G) on ther first single from their debut album, which has no name yet.
Confidence has become one of my favorite producers in the matter of two & a half months.

BM, NY didn't have MarshMelo or Amare, but who needs those guys when you have Jeremy Lin. That was the first time I saw him play during that run he's been on, and now he's one of my favorite players.
I kinda had a feeling that LA was going to lose that game, they just played in an OT game the night before. And they're so bad on the road that it's not likely that they'll win two road games in a row, just doesn't happen. _________________

And I'm officially angry with myself that I didn't go to that game. SMH
Great game though. Coming off of an OT game the night before was defnitely tough for the Lakers, but I don't think anyone could have forseen the kind of night Lin had. Unreal. He didn't do too badly last night either. 5 in a row....WITHOUT Amare and Melo lol. When we're without #1 and #7, just combine them, and you have the answer of how we're going to pull it off lol. _________________

| Quote: |
Whitney Elizabeth Houston (August 9, 1963 – February 11, 2012) was an American recording artist, actress, producer, and model. In 2009, the Guinness World Records cited her as the most-awarded female act of all time. Her awards include two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, and 22 American Music Awards, among a total of 415 career awards in her lifetime. Houston was also one of the world's best-selling music artists, having sold over 170 million albums, singles and videos worldwide. Inspired by prominent soul singers in her family, including her mother Cissy Houston, cousins Dionne Warwick and Dee Dee Warwick, and her godmother Aretha Franklin, Houston began singing with her New Jersey church's junior gospel choir at age 11. After she began performing alongside her mother in night clubs in the New York City area, she was discovered by Arista Records label head Clive Davis. Houston released seven studio albums and three movie soundtrack albums, all of which have diamond, multi-platinum, platinum or gold certification.
Houston is the only artist to chart seven consecutive No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hits ("Saving All My Love for You", "How Will I Know", "Greatest Love of All", "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)", "Didn't We Almost Have It All", "So Emotional" and "Where Do Broken Hearts Go"). She is the second artist behind Elton John and the only female artist to have two number-one Billboard 200 Album awards (formerly "Top Pop Album") on the Billboard magazine year-end charts. Houston's 1985 debut album Whitney Houston became the best-selling debut album by a female act at the time of its release. The album was named Rolling Stone's best album of 1986, and was ranked at number 254 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Her second studio album Whitney (1987) became the first album by a female artist to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Houston's crossover appeal on the popular music charts as well as her prominence on MTV, starting with her video for "How Will I Know", influenced several African-American female artists to follow in her footsteps.
Houston's first acting role was as the star of the feature film The Bodyguard (1992). The film's original soundtrack won the 1994 Grammy Award for Album of the Year. Its lead single "I Will Always Love You", became the best-selling single by a female artist in music history. With the album, Houston became the first act (solo or group, male or female) to sell more than a million copies of an album within a single week period. The album makes her the only female act in the top 10 list of the best-selling albums of all time, at number four. Houston continued to star in movies and contribute to their soundtracks, including the films Waiting to Exhale (1995) and The Preacher's Wife (1996). The Preacher's Wife soundtrack became the best-selling gospel album in history. Three years after the release of her fourth studio album My Love Is Your Love (1998), she renewed her recording contract with Arista Records. She released her fifth studio album Just Whitney in 2002, and the Christmas-themed One Wish: The Holiday Album in 2003. In 2009, Houston released her seventh studio album I Look to You. |
Sorry I wasn't able to do a nice write-up for Ms Whitney, but I just don't have the time. I found out she passed yesterday after I already made my post for the day. But anyways I love Whitney, she's my favorite female singer of all time. I probably sing I Will Always Love You more than any other song.
