Hard to judge him based on last season. Chuck Bres is the worst DC in the history of the NFL for corners. He'll have corners playing 10 yards off the reciever on a 3rd and 4...

He will also make your teams slowest LB and 3rd string S cover Calvin Johnson in the final drive of the game, it didn't go well Laughing

Switch Calvin Johnson with Larry Fitzgerald and you have the same exact situation as the Eagles. Laughing

They'd be better off cutting Palmer and acting like that trade never happened.

Maybe he comes back to Houston, where he played his college ball? I mean, he can't be much worse than Kareem Jackson...

...right? Confused

http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/cowboys/post/_/id/4690097/cowboys-express-interest-in-stanford-routt

Quote:
The Cowboys have expressed interest in cornerback Stanford Routt, who was released by the Oakland Raiders on Thursday.

Vann McElroy, Routt's Houston-based agent, said Friday morning his client is scheduled to visit the Buffalo Bills on Saturday with another trip planned for next week to see the Tennessee Titans.

McElroy said no other visits have been scheduled. However, Minnesota, Kansas City and Dallas have reached out to the agent about Routt's services.

It's funny that some Oakland fans actually thought that was a decent trade at the time. Laughing

Routt isn't a bad corner by any stretch of the imagination. He just isn't worth what he was being paid.

I expect Seymour to get cut before he is paid any bonus money as well if the Raiders don't find someone willing to give them some form of compensation for him.

I hate these moves, the Raiders are starting to look like a team that will make responsible decisions and not a team that breaks the bank on Javon Walker...

For all the stupid decisions this team has ever made, that was BY FAR the dumbest ever. I honestly can't think of any move by any NFL team that has even gotten close to the stupidity of that signing. The NFL should have stepped in and taken away Al Davis' power when he did that. lol

I wouldnt mind that. I wish we had some UH Cougars on the team to convince him though. Let Allen go, and sign Routt. I'm down with that. Haha

Weak! Routt was over paid and McKenzie is getting rid of these ridiculous contracts...

My only question is who's next?

Routt isn't bad, just not worth 10mil+ a year...
