We have a couple options at linebacker. I think most of us agree Rolle is good at WILL, we're not worried about an upgrade there. It's the middle and strong side I think we're all concerned with.

The overhaul option means you're going to invest a first or very early second on a linebacker and sign a more expensive veteran like Connor or Lawson.

I think most of us agree Rolle and Chaney could use depth and competition, but the overhaul option is on the extreme end of things. It's basically focusing this whole off-season on linebackers.

Previous results:

Day 1, Desean Jackson: Not many expect to tag/trade or one-year rental Jackson. About 50/50 on signing long-term or letting go

Day 2, Asante Samuel: No one really thinks we should let him walk or keep him here. Everyone thinks we should trade him, maybe in a package. His value is a third, maybe a late second if he's willing to restructure. '

Day 3, where to pick: It's pretty much even on if we should trade up, down, or stay put. No one suggested trading our first for a player

Day 4, FA priority: 62% say Mathis is our highest priority, 29% is the next highest group and they're for Desean Jackson. Most people in their post said Derek Landri is the second or third highest priority. Antonio Dixon, Owen Schmitt and King Dunlap are all guys people would want to re-sign but aren't going to overpay for. Everyone else is walking.

Day 5, which QB to get: 31% percent of people voted for Jason Campbell, 25% for Kirk Cousins. 2 people voted for Tannehill, 2 for Russel Wilson, 1 for Garrard, 1 for Weeden, 1 said trade up for RG3. Then we had some write-ins. Quite a few said they wouldn't mind Shaun Hill as a backup. Trent Edwards was written in. Kellen Moore was written in. Dennis Dixon or Josh Wilson would be okay in some peoples' eyes.

Day 6, which HB to get: Apparently there is no consensus guy. There were 18 total votes. Isaiah Pead and LaMichael James tied for the top 2 with 3 votes each. Doug Martin and Leron McClain had two. Jason Snelling, Chris Polk, Bernard Pierce, Cyrus Gray, Robert Turbin had one. Doug Martin and Isaiah Pead were the favorites, with Chris Rainey being seen as a good weapon but not necessarily a good HB. McClain was the most polarizing player.

I don't know if our LB corps needs any more young guys trying to learn and sit on the bench or worse, see the field and not know what the heck is going on.

Bring in a veteran. Trade for a veteran. At least 1 who can step in. It's easier for a player to learn a system and perform in a single off-season than simultaneously adjusting to the speed of the NFL and having to learn techniques necessary at the pro-level they never had to use in college.

I chose overhaul. Not necessarily over hauling the starters because I believe that both Chaney and Rolle can still end up starting next season but I don't have a load of confidence in them. Guys like Foku, Clayton, and LLoyd need to be replaced immediately. Jordan can hang around and get beat out for his spot. I at least want one veteran starter in a trade or FA. Then we need some bigger, higher potential youth through the draft. Draft 2 LBs in the first 4 rounds. Probably between 2-4. Some names: Wagner, Cole, Bradham, R. Lewis, and K. Robinson. They all have size except Wagner (6' 240) who still isn't really all that small. More importantly, they all have potential. I don't really care who fits where, that will all get worked out through practice and games. The best guys will play.

No Linebacker in this class I've watched is worthy of a first round pick. Ronell Lewis and Dont'a Hightower are my highest rated ones though.

The Eagles need to bring in a vet. Either MIKE or SAM, makes no difference really. Possibly 2. Rolle can stay at WILL. Drafting a LB is not the answer. They need a veteran leader and for the guys already on the team to develop.

They do need a vet leader, however they don't have the talent on the roster now 2 develop besides chaney n rolle, they need 2 draft talent at LB 2 develope.

I would shoot myself.

If we didn't have Rolle I'd be okay with Spence. That being said, I would rather have Lavonte David if we are taking yet another 220lb LB. In actuality I want nothing to do with either.

I would take Taze in the 3rd. Any earlier and I would be upset. It is pretty well documented that he is a personal foul machine on the level of Suh and the headless horseman has better vision and instincts than him. Really, I wouldn't even want to touch him. He can be better protected and hidden in a 3-4.

I agree with you about needing talent. We have none.

Overhaul

Or more specifically, get a young veteran to play MIKE, a solid veteran to play SAM and then draft someone to challenge at SAM

FA at MIKE and draft a SAM. You can take Chaney off your list until we are sure He's going to come back without regressing. Alot of players come back extremely tenetive after a neck surgery.
Depth, Matthews, Clayton at WILL. Fokou at SAM and draft a MLB later 4/5,th round. Bring Jordan to camp in the middle and let them fight out.
