What do you think we should do with the QB position this offseason. I think it's safe to assume that Joe will be back as the starter, so I'm not including Peyton Manning, some other FA signing or drafting a QB to start as options. I essentially see three possibilities:

1) Stay with what we have. 2 QB's (Joe and Tyrod) on the roster.
2) Draft a young, developmental QB. Tyrod is young and has potential, but we draft another guy, possibly a more pure pocket passer type to develop along with Tyrod to give us options as Joe's backup.
3) We bring in a veteran to be the #2, while Tyrod continues to develop as the #3.

I personally think we stay with the 2 guys we have on the roster now and don't bring anyone additional in. The extra roster spot is very valuable and we don't really have the money to spend on a good veteran backup (who would command a few million probably). Additionally, Joe has proven to be very durable over the past 4 seasons (If I'm not mistaken only Rivers and Eli have longer consecutive games started streaks at present). I can see arguments for all three options, though.

Meh, I wouldn't even consider changing anything. Our cap room is going to be tight as it is. The points you brought up mirror my own opinion, we're fine with Flacco and Taylor.

I think if we bring anyone in, it should be a late round pick to stash on the practice squad. But I'm more than comfortable with Joe and Tyrod.

Agree with the prevailing opinions of the thread. Keep the 2 guys we have. Tyrod probably has just enough of an X factor to win us a few games with no to minimal scouting reports on his ability if Joe does end up going out for any period of time.

We don't need a veteran QB wasting a roster spot when we could better use that to field a capable special teams unit (kickoff coverage in particular).

Agreed. We should have someone better than Hunter Cantwell as our PS guy if were going to stick with Joe & Tyrod

Bingo. Keep "The Eyebrows" and "The Human Highlight Reel" and just ride that train.

Didn't really think about the PS. I'll admit that, but I guess it can really be an additional item to any of the choices.

I would actually prefer an experienced veteran, but that is more because I want someone who can learn Tyrod Taylor the ropes of being an NFL QB and pass forward some knowledge in a way coaches can't.

I agree. I'm fine with Tyrod as the backup, but it would be nice to bring in a journeyman third-stringer who could take him under his wing.
