Why would you care about commercials? _________________

oh, it's traditional to have high expectations about Super Bowl commercials, because companies spend so much money to produce them for such a large audience. ones in the past have been highly touted for quality, and both immediate and long lasting impact.
the top one being Apple's 1984 Big Brother commercial they only aired once, at the Super Bowl, yet many regard it within the top ten of all commericals ever made. _________________

The two Adriana Lima commercials sure worked for me.

I know it's tradition, but they're still just commercials right? _________________

well of course.
but sometimes they are so creative and so well produced, that they are minature one minute presentations too, that have artistic appeal.
and my original point was that this year's crop was pretty stale and non-imaginative. _________________

I wouldn't know, I download my games without any commercials in them. _________________

I think it's something on the Twin Cities sports station, KFAN...I only listen to the podcasts since I, like several people here, live outside of the listening area.
As far as the commercials (prior discussion), to me, they were lame for the most part. In fact, for most of the last several years (probably going back 3 years at least), they've been dull. If the most amusing commercial in the past 3-4 years is some little kid wearing a Darth Vader costume, it's a sad state of affairs in creativity. _________________

What's the preposterous statement selection show? |
A collection of preposterous statements, generally about Minnesota sports, set up as a March Madness-like bracket.

That's some funny stuff. Do listeners vote? Or is it all done by the station? _________________

in a never ending endeavor to understand how you whippersnappers communicate with each other, i have a question about Twitter nomenclature.
why does everyone's account name start with a #?
why is it called a "hashmark?" _________________

I'll let someone else research that...because I've never really understood that myself, unless it has something to do with programming language.
I do follow people on Twitter, but I rarely tweet anything myself, outside of re-tweeting someone else. _________________

Hashtag's are a way to add a certain 'label' to a post.
If you post something like 'Go Adrian Peterson #vikings', that label indicates the subject of your tweet, which allows people who search for vikings-related posts to easily find yours.
It's evolved to where people will now use it as a pun as well. Like 'wow, it sure is cold in minnesota #freezingmyballsoff'.
They're just indexing tags basically. _________________
