| Hey - just wanted to point out that they miscalculated the cap space by 5 mil, it appears. If cap is 125m we only have about 19-20mil. |

They don't calculate cap space by current payroll because its too much work trying to find the salaries of every player on every team and with the bonuses and all that. So they just go by the revenue the team made last year or something like that.
I'm not 100% positive this is how it works, but its along those lines. |

Yeah, something along those lines. Those are the numbers they gave us, so we will use them. Any addition to one will be subtracted from the other and we likely will need it.
Now we just need one of our mods to float through here and sticky this. _________________

Gotcha. I was under the impression that whatever they calculated for a team's current salary, the difference between that and the listed "cap" (which is 125m) was our cap space. |

It's actually not ran like last year fellas, and they did do the best they could with salaries/bonuses. So, DR. was right, they mis caculated...
| Quote: | The FFMD-12 v.1 will be operating under the premise that there will be a $125.0 Million salary cap. Any players already under contract should be deducted from your cap space posted on this list:

--- These are the compiled rosters and salary info for all teams. If any changes need to be made, please PM drd23 with the proper information and a supporting source/link and changes will be made as needed. (If the issue is with a player who a player who is a UFA not being listed as a UFA this will be taken care of at a later date.) |

Discussion willl prolly come hot and heavy tonight or the next few days but to get people thinking...
| Quote: | | At all times during FFMD teams are required to be at or below the $125M salary cap. If at any point a team exceeds the cap, said team's ability to conduct FFMD business (save for releases, restructuring of contracts, or trades in which less cap is taken on than given away) freezes until such time as the cap is met. |
There is most definately for sure a salary cap, and they missed our figures by 5 million, which sucks but w/e we still have manageable roster. The tagging period is coming up first, a little after the 5th I believe... We can place tenders on our RFA's like SLH and Levy, but the real question will be what to do with Cliff Avril. I'm open to searching out tag'n'trade partners but Idk if your aloud to do that in FFMD since the new CBA an all that FTW pointed out earlier in the season.
Also outside of those three we'll have to think about restrucutures and what fair money is for these older vets that many will still want on this roster but prolly not at the current price tag.* Corey Williams, Riaola, KVB, Calvin Johnson, heck Jason Hanson is a 3.2 million dollar hit?...
Now I haven't talked to our GM*Slim to see how to go about building this team, or what ideas they have for certain players, so I'm just laying it all on the line right now and just wanna hear ideas from others. I'm not saying this is what we should do, but these are the problems infront of us right now and we need to figure out what to do. |

| I think two priorities are extending Corey Williams and Calvin Johnson - Corey for more years and less up front (includes restructure of current year), and Calvin with less salary in 2012 and a ton of guaranteed money spread over the last 5 years of his contract, per CBA, beginning in 2013 or 2014 depending on total contract length. |

So I updated the cap, if someone else has time could you please do a quick check to make sure the others are right on the listing. If they screwed ours up and we play by the rules, I want to make sure everyone else is accurate.
And thanks for the sticky Fuller. _________________

There all good from what I seen.
We need to figure out how to trim the "fat". Some teams have over 40 million to spend and many have that range of 20-30 million to spend.
Bengals/Chiefs/Patriots have a rediculous amount of cap space. |

We should shop Kyle Vanden Bosch around. |
