2012 Off Season and Mock Draft

Resign
Alex Smith
Joshua Morgan
Carlos Rogers
Blake Costanzo
Ted Ginn
Amahad Brooks
Larry Grant
Adam Snyder
CJ Spillman

Release
Chilo Rachal
Shawntae Spencer
Moran Norris
Will Tukuafu
Reggie Smith
Tavares Gooden

Franchise Tag
Dashon Goldson

Trade
Michael Crabtree to Philadelphia for a 2nd round pick in 2013

Free Agent Signing
Vincent Jackson WR

Draft

1 Mohamed Sanu WR

2 Brandon Washington OL

3 Coryell Judie CB

4 Derek Wolfe DE

5 Marvin Jones WR

6 Darius Nall OLB

7 Brandon Bolden RB

I admit that there would be controversy if we were to trade Crabtree, but our WRs would be much stronger with Jackson, Morgan, Sanu, Jones and Kyle Williams.
Washington can play RT or OG and that gives us options on the right side with him, Davis and Boone.
Judie and Wolfe would learn and help in 2-3 years.
Nall and Bolden could make the PS or help if injuries arise.

Thanks for looking.

Really not bad at all...

nit-picking =

Would really prefer to get more value from Crabtree trade.

what about Larry Grant?
what about Adam Snyder?
what about Reggie Smith and CJ Spillman?

I have no idea who Darius Nall is... I'd rather Julian Miller (WVU) or Jaquies Smith (another Missouri Smith!) or Donte Paige-Moss (NC) there.

why not just put the cheap RFA tender on Tukuafu and go with Jake Bequette (Arkansas) in rd 4?

Not bad, but like oldman said, what about Grant, Synder, Smith, and Spillman?

Also, not so sure there is a trade market for Crabs. I would rather keep him anyway. He will make a great number two or slot imo.

I don't know about trading Crabs.. That's probably the most we could get for him, but I think he has more value to us than a draft pick... Then again, that 2nd with our 1st could move us up to the middle of the first.. Dexastro, Kirkpatrick, Reiff, Upshaw, Dennard all a possibility.. I would want a Colston/Bowe/VJax along with Morgan and a rookie though.

Realistic and pretty good. I like it. But I'm with the crabs trade issues. We can't do much with that mid second right now. I think if we wait for him to have a full offseason and see how his production does. Maybe he will step up and we keep him or if he still has that attitude trade time.

Ok guys, made the corrections, thanks for pointing them out.

I like Bequette alot myself, however I believe he is better suited as a 4-3 DE than a 3-4 OLB or DE. Tukuafu loses out to the drafting of Wolfe.

I think Jaquies will go before our 6th pick, and I have Miller, Paige-Moss, and Nall all rated closely. Took Nall after looking at this video.

As far as the Crabtree trade, I think is is smart to trade him now before he presents any more problems and we are forced to take a low pick for him, or just watch him walk. Do you really think he would resign here after his current contract is up? I think Harbaugh will only want players who WANT to be here, and it is starting to look like Mike is disgruntled. Getting a 2nd rounder next year will certainly help us get the players that we want.
I knew there would be some disagreement about this trade. Thanks.

I think that signing a BIG (not necessarily big name but BIG size wise) WR and the return of morgan as the 2 guy would help crabs' game really take off.

I don't see him as a flanker or split end rather i see him excelling in the wes welker/victor cruz type of role in the slot.

His routes are getting crispier as time progresses however I don't think he's the guy you can really lean on when the game is on the line.

I DO think he could be a 1,000 wr in the slot with a strong physically imposing #1 and a capable #2

we already have the #2 in Morgan (resign him)

and we need the #1 via draft or FA

not to mention this opens up things for gore/hunter/dixon tremendously if we have a 3 WR 1TE 1 RB set and run out of that.

just my .49 cents

Its funny how almost any time Crabs gets mentioned in the media, everybody wants to trade him. I mean, what did he even really do this time? He complained he didn't get enough targets in the NFC championship game? Is that really so bad? I mean, he's a WR, that's what they do. Even the selfless Jerry Rice complained about not getting touches.

Anyways, I certainly doubt we trade away our best receiver for essentially nothing when our WR corps is in need of dire upgrade as it is.

I like the draft, would prefer Heyward to Judie, but good value picks across the board. Nall is a solid sleeper pick, shows a good bullrush and a quick first step, could be a steal.

Im against the trade of Crabs, i think he could turn into a good reciever if we had some other weapons. People dont realise apart from VD we had nothing else, so most teams would eliminate him out of games.

It's easy to bag players but take for instance if Crab was playing for the Giants and he had Cruz and Nicks on the same team....im 100% sure his production would sky rocket.

We just need to give him a better support cast.

1. FA siging whether it be a top tier guy (VJAX or Colston) or a good 2nd like Meachem, Garcon or Manningham.

2. Then spend a couple picks on receivers in the draft.
