Brown has talent and is athletic, but is too finesse for me.
Pead looks like a great choice for RB depth, and STs.
I like Adams and Criner.
I also like Thompson and Reyes.
There are several DEs that would be good fits in the second round range including Curry and Johnson. _________________

Johnson suppose to be a more 3rd-4th round guy? And he have sickle cell trait (The same thing as Ryan Clark, so he probably can't play in Denver). _________________

That's ok. If he comes here, he's only likely to miss one game in his career. _________________

^I don't know if that ducking under tackles is going to work in the NFL...but then again its not the same since the crackdown its more pitty-pat. Would love to see him as a KR, slot guy _________________

Home after 4 days at the Senior Bowl. If any of you can go next seaon, I highly recomend it. Tickets were cheap, $15.00. Practices were open to the public, for the most part. NFL Execs an coaches were all over the place. I had a great conversation with Juan about the Phillies. He is huge fan. The entire weekend, without drinks, cost somewhere in area of 500 bucks.
Players that were impressive and not so much.
Coples looked like a man among boys all week. If he isn't a star in the NFL it shoud be considered one of the biggest busts ever. He is that good.
Mike Adams is impressive. He doesn't look as if he has the ceiling of a Johnathan Martin but he will move up from the 2nd to the 1st. He could start a RT for atleast 1-12 teams of the top of my head.
Most of the value is alond both sides of the line in this draft.
Audie Cole played WILL most of the game which surprised me. He didn't look in the least bit uncomfortable. Some team will reach on him.
If anyone thinks Courtny Upshaw is a 4-3 LB in the NFL is nuts. He is a pure outside rush LB.
After Joe Adams fumbled, he looked like a man on a mission. He will be a good slot guy, no question. During one on one drills he had a very hard time getting of the line. He helped his value and a good combine could help him get into the 3rd round. He would be fantastic next to Fitz or Megatron.
Vick Ballard looked like crap at practice but trust me, this kid runs hrad between the tackles.
Cam Johnson has alot of making up to do. No one has said anything good about him all week.
Janoris Jenkins got beat deep a couple of times and no physical presence at all. At best, he looked like a slot CB all game.
Safty Taylor from LSU can hit. I really like him after seeing the way he carries himself. He is a bit raw but looks reallt teachable.
Highlite this and post it. Some team will draft Donnie Fletcher and move him to SS. He has a nose for the ball and will knock the snot out you. It's a shame he can't cover for squat.
I met Pead on Saturday. This guy is small. I don't see him as a complament to McCoy at all.
Zach Brown looks like a track star out here. He needs better instincts. He waits for running plays to come to him or chases it down. Nothing in between. I might draft him just to cover the TE's in the NFC East. He was running step for step with the RB's and WR's all week.
Ingram looks overmatched at times.
It's funny, a bunch of agents are here trying to talk up the QB's and none of them are what I would call future franchise QB's. All of them are major projects. It's a shame there all seriors because another year of school wouldn't hurt any of them. No polish to any of their games.
Note to Andy Reid. If you draft a Guard againg this year, make it Cody Glen. He played both T and G and is tremendous in the running game. McCoy behind him and Peters would be a treat.
Keneen Robinson=workout warrior.
I had a great time. _________________

| Quote: | Cam Johnson from Virginia is a real interesting kid. Put on the game tape and he will impress you. I watched him vs Miami and he gave the LT fits in that game. Really effective with a bull rush. Can also beat OTs with speed. He can explode off the ball at times. So how does a player like that play 42 games and finish with 12.5 sacks? Turns out that Cam has Sickle Cell Trait. He would look good for several plays and then wear down. He was a tough guy and tried to play 50 snaps a game, but his body can’t handle that. One friend who watched tape on Cam thought he was taking plays off and just going half speed. Turns out his body can’t handle playing a ton.
The good news in that situation is that he would be a perfect fit for Washburn’s rotation. Jim wants guys to go all out for 4 plays, then get off the field. Cam is 6’4, 267. He’s quick. Strong. Tough. Natural pass rusher. Agile, athletic. Sounds like a 1st or 2nd round pick, but that condition of his will play a huge part in his draft value. Maybe he goes in the 3rd round. 4th? Some teams may take him off their boards entirely. There have been instances where football players with Sickle Cell Trait died in practice or games. I’ve never heard of an NFL prospect with this condition so I have no idea what teams will think. Obviously NFL teams wanted him at the Senior Bowl. They are interested in Johnson. He’d be a perfect fit in Philly. |

We don't need to compliment Shady, Shady can already do it all. Pead would be able to take reps from Shady and offer special teams production.
He would be a perfect back up. _________________

My concern, after seeing how small he is, would be if anything happened to McCoy. Pead couldn't handle 20-22 touches a game without ending up in intensive care. He literally looks like a high school player in stature. _________________

| Pead reminds me of Charlie Garner. Guys that are undersized that get up to full speed through the hole in such an expediated fashion that being undersized then can be used as an advantage because they are getting "skinny" through the hole and doing so with the great speed and quickness you expect out of a sub 200lb type athlete. Will his body hold up? Probably not if he is treated as a starter by someone early in his career. It seems like the smaller backs have a better chance if they are brought along slowly then given more carries as their bodies have fully matured and benefited from NFL level training. |
