we know that Foster and Joesph will be there, but how many others will get in at the last minute...With the Ravens and Patriots playing this week there is going to be a lot of guys either way in the Super Bowl
Ravens
Ray Rice
Marshal Yanda
Vonta Leach
Haloti Ngata
Terrell Suggs
Ray Lewis
Ed Reed
Patriots
Tom Brady
Wes Welker
Rob Gronkowski
Logan Mankins
Brian Waters
Andre Carter
Vince Wilfork
Matthew Slater
If Baltimore wins then i can see Barwin and Cushing getting in
If New England wins then maybe Daniels and smith
plus some guys ended the year hurt so who knows if they decide to play or not like Jake Long and AJ Green, Ed Reed maybe
there are a ton of possibilities, i remember the year Schaub started he was an alternate i think _________________

Pro Bowl is a joke so who cares all that much anyway?
Half of the participants will pull out anyway. _________________

Very. I would take Watt 10 times out of 10, especially after the showing in the Bengals game. Not sure how they were slotted in regards to alternates, but I don't see a single point in this season where Smith was better than Watt this season...even when Smith started off hot, Watt was just as impactful in that time. _________________

Watt was a stalwart on defense for us throughout the season, but he didn't really gain notoriety on ESPN until the end of the season. If you're not being featured, then people seem to forget about you. I didn't even realize that Aldon Smith was having such a great season for the 49ers because they only ever talked about Von Miller.
It usually takes one year for players to be snubbed before they gain enough attention to be selected for the Pro Bowl in the future.
But I agree, Watt had a phenomenal season for us. _________________

also if i understand correctly,
if you are on the initial roster then you are considered a pro bowler whether you go or not right? so Foster will still be considered a two time pro bowler?
and then if you are an alternate and you dont go you dont get credit? _________________

I think that you're right.
I think the most embarrassing thing for the NFL is how Pro Bowls are used to indicate the value of certain players. But two years ago when Matt Schaub made the Pro Bowl, there were 8 QBs in the AFC that were 'named' to the Pro Bowl, with many dropping out due to injury or playing in the Super Bowl. I believe that all 4 of the QBs from the AFC South were named to the team, including Garrard who had a down season. _________________

Schaub, Garrard and Vince Young were all in Hawaii. _________________

Winston? Maybe Chester Pitts? I dunno, to be quite honest...
Tony Boselli DID make a few Pro Bowls, but that was before his time in Houston. Not sure if that counts... _________________

Wade Smith will go because I don't believe any Patriots ever go, and I believe he was first alternate at Guard.
I'd like to see Cushing, Watt, and Barwin all go, too. It's also too bad that Duane Brown might've been the best left tackle in the league this year and he may legitimately never go to a Pro Bowl. _________________ Welcome to Houston, DeAndre Hopkins! |

Have you watched the Texans since 2002?
Our offensive line has been trash for nearly our entire existance. _________________

I've been watching as Andre Johnson lead the league in receiving yards, matt Schuab lead the league in passing and Arian Foster lead the league in rushing....kinda hard to do any of that with an oline that's trash
We have had one of the best lines for the 3 years _________________
