Chargers will pick 13-20. Trading the 10th pick isn't possible.
I like the idea of Carlson. Which Steve Smith? _________________

Not if we lose. Raiders are the favorite to win plus Mathews might be out.
The Eagle. We should be able to sign him for very cheap. His deal with the Eagles was 1 year 2.2m, and that was coming off of a good season with the Giants. Two year deal making a million a year doesn't sound bad for him. _________________

The highest the Chargers could ascend in the draft is 13th, which would require them losing at Oakland and losses by Philadelphia and Seattle or Arizona. At 7-9, the Chargers would pick no lower than 15th.
With a victory, the Chargers could fall as far as 20th, depending on how many other teams finish 8-8. |
I don't see how that Steve Smith help at all. He's definitely not the same player he used to be, he has serious injury concerns, and he's really not the type of WR that's missing. _________________

It was just an idea I threw out. Gaither-like signing imo. The type of receiver we're missing is Wright who I had us drafting, and Smith competing with Wright would give us good WR play behind The Vincents.
We could just take the safer route and sign someone like Derek Hagen or Chaz Schilens. _________________

Since when are the words "safe" and "Chaz Schilens" fit to be used in the same sentence? The only health the man has is bad health. Literally, when someone is injured more than Buster Davis and as much as Bob Sanders, you know you've got an injury-prone mess on your hands. _________________

sdutChargers S.D. U-T Chargers
By my math (suspect at best) Chargers will pick 17th if Dallas wins tonight, 18th if Giants win.
Looks like the Giants are going to win as of half time. But we get the top pick of the 8-8 group for round 4! |
