I'm wondering how big of a need corner really is for us. Granted you can never have enough good corners, so if we draft one of the top corners I wouldn't be upset. That being said Nate Clements and Pacman have actually been really good for us. That doesn't even take into account Leon Hall. The combination of Hall, Pacman and Clements is better than what a lot of other teams have at corner IMHO.
I look at the rest of the team, Guard is obviously our #1 need. After that I would say Safety and Running Back are our biggest needs. Our safety play is why we keep giving up big plays, adding another corner won't fix that... _________________

I totally agree that guard is #1, followed by rb cb s and WR( especially if Simpson goes to jail this offseason). I have been impressed with adam since Leon went down and clements has looked much better in the second half of the season but...
Too many what ifs, clements is old, and slow, and his wilyness is the only thing that isn't going to depreciate.
Adam has looked like a more than capable starter but he is adam pacman jones. He has earned the trust of the nati but add his injury history onto his other history and there he is.
Leon is great and hopefully he will recover fully but what if he doesn't? I don't even want to think about that but it is a possibility.
Also with clements hopefully having one more year in the tank if we draft a stud cb he can get his feet wet next year instead of having to start right away, its not a position that even great cb's don't struggle at.
Right now i'm hoping for one of the two stud guards and hopefully one of the top tier cb's in the first and bpa in the second. |

There are question marks with all 3 of our top corners. Clements though did sign a 2 year deal. Plus he just turned 32 about 15 days ago. Champ Bailey is 33 turning 34 in June and he's still playing at a very high level. Clements doesn't rely on speed so he should* still be a solid corner for us next season.
Pacman seems to not be playing as reckless this season as he has in the past. Last season you could tell he had zero regard for his body.
Hall recovering from the Achilles injury will be the big question mark.
Safety though I think is a much bigger need. You look at the Jets who have some of the best corners in the NFL, after Jim Leonard went down they have been getting killed with big plays. Our safeties pretty much suck. I think it's time we address that position further instead of hoping one of these reclamation projects pans out... _________________

I'm fine with our corners for now. What we need is more depth on the dline. You could tell they got tired in the second half last week. When dunlap got tired, that's when they started scoring.
Pull a giants - draft more pass rushers. Hard to have enough of them. _________________

I agree with this although this draft is light on pass rushers. If Nick Perry is still around when we draft I would love for us to snatch him up. Our defense looks best when Dunlap and Atkins are playing well. Would be nice to add another pass rusher to the mix.
I was hoping we would see Moch last week to see if he can provide anything in the pass rush department... _________________

Safety is a bigger need in my mind. Crocker is bad and Nelson is very inconsistent, he can make hits but that's about it. I want to see Sands and Mays get a go unfortunately it's a bit too late for that. But drafting a corner in the 2nd or 3rd may not be a bad idea. _________________

| I'm all for using high picks on d linemen too. I think Zim would love having all 'situational' guys up front and create havoc with substitutions. |

I'm in favor of a OG and Rb in the first with a CB or S in the second. I think we can find rotation DL in the third. This draft does have a lot of good Talent at Guard so it wouldn't surprise me if the Bengals took two Guards with the first 3 picks. _________________

I think Guard and Safety are our biggest concerns in the offseason. Then I think CB, WR, and RB are positions we can look at it. _________________

I actually agree with this. Watching our guards get pushed backwards gets tiring... They can absolutely get one of the stud guards in the first with two picks. Then get BPA... hopefully one of the needed positions, but anything really... only ruling out QB, P, K and probably Tackle and TE... |

I would love to get Richardson and DeCastro. That is a dream round 1 for me. Corner is a need, but unless one of the top guys falls I am okay not going that route. I think we need to look at safety but I would like to think that Mays has a future with us as a starting safety.
A guy like Mark Barron would be fantastic to put next to Mays in the safety position moving forward.
We also have money this offseason to spend and sign some help. _________________

My dream first round as well. But if Richardson is gone, I would go CB with that pick. Dennard seems like the likliest option, but if he's gone, I would have no problem roliing the dice on Janoris jenkins. I know others strongly disagree.
I think nelson and mays will be just fine. Throw sands and Myles in as backups. I would much rather go back to 6 Cbs and 4 safeties or 5-5, instead of this season's 6 safeties and 4CBs.
The one player who could fall and i would jump on it is Michael Floyd. Throw him on the othwer side of Green and I think this offense is close to unstoppable with Gresham, Hawkins, Simpson and Shipley.
If all of them are gone, i am warming to the idea of DeCastro at LG and Glenn at RG. Polk or Miller in the second. _________________

| I think floyd is going to be a total work horse in the NFL also, Glenn Floyd and Miller in the first two rounds? Dalton would be happy with that... |

Great question V112. We have Mike Wallace and Torrey Smith in our division now. We need corners that can live with these guys.
Guess we'll learn more about our DB's Sunday.
