Just got back from the game, great win, 100% the kind of game I expected.

Things we all knew before the game that were proven:

Flacco > Alex Smith (lol @ those that said otherwise in the NFL comparison forum)

Ngata > Justin Smith (duh)

and

Ravens D > 49ers D

Don't forget:

Ray Lewis > NaVarro Bowman > Patrick Willis (who knew?!)

But yes, I was VERY impressed with all phases of our team tonight. Heck, we even got a Punt Return of more than 5 yards! AND we didn't fumble a kickoff return!

However, David Reed still managed to make a boneheaded play on Special Teams by watching a perfect punt sail right by him into the endzone.

I can't really post my thoughts in full because it's all too obvious, but tonight I couldn't be happier to be a Ravens fan, that's all.

Yup, for those that questioned who had the better D it showed today w/o Ray Lewis. About time we stuck to the running game. Only thing I didn't like was that QB draw?!

BALL SO HARD UNIVERSITY!

I don't think Flacco's mustache has the same magical powers as Tebow, but he certainly tried Laughing

I questioned a couple of calls:

1.) The 2nd down Zone play from the 1-yard line. Why are we running zone on the goal line against a team that LOVES to blitz on the goalline to fill all the gaps? Just run up the middle. Yanda and Birk were getting good push all night long.

2.) 3rd Down and 1 and we run zone WITH RICKY WILLIAMS. Why are we running an outside stretch play with a power back on 3rd down and 1? That boggled my mind.

3.) The QB Draw. Flacco is not Tebow. I know we're playing conservative on the goal line but at least draw something up to give Rice or Dickson or Boldin a chance. Don't just take it away and concede to kicking a FG like that.

Pass rush was absolutely ridiculous tonight, as good as I've ever seen it.

Suggs was Suggs.

Cory Redding was off the charts, probably the most underrated Raven IMO and one of the most underrated players in the league.

Pernell McPhee is looking like one of the biggest draft steals in Ravens history already, that guy is a player.

And finally, Lardarius Webb is playing at a ridiculous level right now. Pro bowl level in my honest opinion. Can't say enough about him.

Only thing I can complain about is Cam, but that's expected at this point so I don't waste energy worrying bout it.

Finally home from this game.

I thoroughly enjoyed ragging on Alex Smith and how he really threw nothing but out routes and screens.

Flacco on that TD drive was on fire.

Defense came to make a statement.

Crowd took a while to get going (I blame the thanksgiving dinner) but after the Pitta TD it was on fire.

Overall solid win and holy cow we committed to the run game and balance our playcalling and look what happened.

Side note just saw Flacco's facial hair situation... What is that?!?!?

Double J and Cory Redding are THE most underrated players on our defense. Double J is probably the most underrated and underappreciated player in the entire NFL.

Umm what? How did we see that today? When did Bowman become better than Wills?

Bowman has CLEARLY outshined and outperformed Willis this year, yet Willis is taking all the glory for it. Even tonight Bowman was the one making all the plays, whereas Willis I only noticed him make one play and that was the big hit on Ricky Williams, and the play where Dickson caught a big first-down pass over him.

And thus, that's how I drew my conclusions Very Happy

LOL, clearly outshined him? Get out of here, Willis has been amazing and is the best MLB/ILB in the game. Willis and Bowman played well today but it was the offense that held us back. Willis had a PD and an stuff today to go with 8 tackles. Sorry, but Ray Lewis is not better than Willis and neither is Bowman. However, I don't want to sound bitter or anything, because you guys played a great win and deserve to enjoy it. Good luck rest of the season.

I do think that overall Willis is much better than Bowman, but right now Bowman is playing better.

Ray is 1a and Willis is 1b in my eyes.

Say what you want about stats, but Bowman made more plays tonight than Willis did, specifically that 3rd down where he stuffed Ricky Williams. And the real star of that defense is Justin Smith anyways right now. Willis is playing solid but nowhere near the hype people are giving him, certainly in terms of DPOY, especially when the guy next to him is outplaying him.
