The U-23's took on 2.B's Bochum (lost in the relegation playoff last season against Gladbach) and won 3-1. Here are the highlights and reactions.

The starters;
Quote:
U-23 #USMNT lineup v Bochum:

Johnson;
Williams, White, Fennell, Valentin;
Corona, Okugo, Diskerud, Garza;
Boyd, Agudelo

Apparently closer to a 4-4-2 diamond than anything, with Mix (he has the #10 shirt) in a more advanced role and Okugo hanging back to do some of the dirty work.

Lol, scrimmage.

What an odd matchup.

Tony Taylor's goal was pretty nice.

Results from Bob Bradley's first game in charge of Egypt. Not an easy first game Laughing

A little more offensive. At least he changed it up.

Danny Williams as a holding midfielder? Really? Pass.

It will be really interesting to see us with two forwards. Should be interesting.

I like the fact we are experimenting. I am tired of the 4-4-2 and I think it went really stale under Bradley. I think this really ends up with a 4-3-3 more than any variation of a 4-4-2. I think it will be two up top with Dempsey right behind the two and a three man midfield because I really don't think Klinsmann will expect Johnson and Bradley to be his wide men.

I'm a big fan of Twellman as an announcer. Its surprising how well both he and Wynalda can step in and competently host a pregame show.

I honestly think he is a bit overcritical at times. I guess it is nice to have someone who isn't just going to say everything is perfect but at times it is a bit over the top and to be honest quite annoying at times.

Beautiful strike by Buddle. He's been great so far.
