I did not expect this. One of the men responsible for the way the NFL is shaped today. RIP to a major contributor to the NFL landscape.

A sad day for any football fan. One of the biggest contributors to the game we know today as football. Sad to see the end of a true legend.

wow didn't expect this at all. definitely loved football and was a good owner overall. like someone said, helped shape the nfl.

Rest in peace to a true legend. No matter what you think of his recent personnel decisions, it doesn't erase the fact that he was one of the greatest owners and football visionaries we've ever seen. I'm a Lions fan first, but I've always cheered for the Raiders as sort of a second team. It's a sad day for Raider Nation.
