On espn sportcenter nfl draft
mel kiper said that the redskins will trade down with the eagles giving them
Eagles get : 9th overall
redskins get: 31th overall , 2 2nd round picks and 2 3rd round picks

I think trades between division rivals are highly unlikely, but the Eagles definitely have the picks and it wouldn't be out of character.
I don't think it would happen, but I'd be all for it if it did. |

As of now, there is no salary cap in 2007. They should be alright, as far as signing rookies, for 2006. |

| I would trade with the Eagles even just for their 2 2nd rounders. |

Who do you want with all these picks?
I don't see the point in just getting a bunch of players. Is it the "Well if we make a lot of picks, a few of them are bound to turn out pretty well" idea? I dont know, I think I would prefer to get a pretty close to sure thing.
In all honesty, that trade is ludicrous, and I cannot imagine it happening. If it does, however, you can be certain that the Eagles ascribe to my own theory of trying to get the guy you feel will be a real impact player instead of rolling the dice with several more marginal guys. |

The eagles will never part with 5 picks for our #9, there is no way. If they would I would take it in a second. I would even take the top three picks without the third rounders.
Mathmatical draft strategists state the real sweet spot for the draft according to money spend and performance recieved is the top third of the second round. Top ten picks, for all of their immediate impact usually dont measure up dollars/performance ratio vs the higher second rounders.
I would prefer a 1st rounder in the early twenties in stead of 31 but if we pick up two second rounders and possibley a pair of thirds? We can fill a lot of holes
I love the prospect of drafting Adrian McPhereson, I was kinda hoping Hassleback didn't sign his tender. |
