check out this projection from NFL.com. they have Thomas Davis going #24, now who is it that drafts there. hmmmm don't we have that pick. this is the first place that i've seen him projected going past the Saints. it sure would be a nice pick up for us. they also projected marcus ware to go 23 so we could probably have a our pick. who do you think is the better choice? i'm going with ware. QB's had to much time last year to sit back and wait for Carrol to hold or recievers to get past Harris in the backfield.

i say ware because davis won't last to us, and with the addition of freeman linebacker is our top priority with safety second
if we don't match offer to kampman then this pick becomes even more prevelant |

yeah halfback he can lay some people out but is he going to give us that contributing factor like ware can help putting pressure on the QB. it's great to see the reciever get laid out but unless he drops the ball they get the completion and march down field on us.
more pressure on the QB = good secondary _________________

yea, that is true.
But if we can get Justin Tuck in the second with Thomas Davis
Tuck plays like Jevon Kearse. Jevon Kearse is one of the fastest DEs in the game (Freeney and Peppers) |

I'd say Davis, mainly because it appears Ware won't be big enough, at least initially, to play end. I've read he may be an outside linebacker, or possibly a Dwight Freeney type. Jesus, he's fast though!
You ever get the feeling a certain college player is going to excel in the NFL, then does? Well, I have that feeling about Davis, although it may also be a bad case of indigestion. |
