Why I love Mike Tomlin...

Quote:
“The root of the matter is, we have two very good football teams with the same intentions, and that is to dominate the AFC North and put themselves in positions to chase the Lombardi. That is why we will always have issues with these guys because I expect that their goals will be unchanging like ours. So two trains are on the track. See you Sunday.”

And since I just moved into Ravens/Redskins territory, I'm sure to see the game on TV.

Great thread. Ours is funnier though, but that aside, I think you are very much spot on. With my new gamepass (yay) I saw all your preseason games and Antonio Brown looks scary and combined with Wallace, Ward and Miller, you could hurt us and any team badly.

Ravens will always have a chance but I am afraid, that you guys are just more season ready than we are. So I hope a good hard fought game with no injuries and a silent prayer for a Raven win, so Flacco can get another monkey of his back :=)

Don't forget about Sanders. He had a good game and since he played 26 snaps it suggests his feet have fully healed (they probably were a week earlier than that).

As a Ravens fan you have to ask yourself. Who is your 5th DB that is good enough to cover Cotchery/Sanders leaving everyone else in single.

I wouldn't do any talking about other teams secondary.

Well since the Ravens normal #3 is suspended because he hangs with S. Holmes. I think the Steelers secondary in this game matches up pretty well.

I never said ours was better. If our receivers played for the Ravens against our secondary I wouldn't be sleeping on Saturday night.

The Steelers offense is going to be something I want to keep a close eye on. The Steelers have so many big play targets this year and I'm interested to see who sits and who stays on the field. This could be that Big Ben quiets some of his critics with a big year and it starts against a team he's faired well against the past few seasons.

Also who is the Ravens #3 WR? Who ever it is will have to have a big impact for the Ravens. Lee Evans and Boldin I feel will get there fair share, but I feel it's the #3 that could decide the game.

The #3 could be any mix of Torrey Smith, Tandon Doss, or LaQuan Williams. I'd hinge my bets on Doss seeing the most time as he's shown the most as a WR thus far out of all of them, but expect to see Torrey in there as well.

Jimmy, Cary Williams, Foxworth, Carr, Webb

Our CB depth is an asset, to be honest.

For Sunday, I'm also thinking it will be Doss. He's really impressed me thus far, and I have a hell of a lot more confidence in him than I do for Torrey Smith. For the rest of the season, though, I'm leaning towards David Reed to take over as our #3.

They are all decent.

None of them are particilarly good. Not a knock on them because most are young...but I wouldnt call any of them much above average.

Better depth than us, but none of them are proven to be much more than average.
