Who's gonna get up early with me this coming saturday to watch the game? It's a 7am start time in the EST (4am PST). Obviously Europeans won't have to wake up early.
I'm happy it's going to be on ESPN 2 live at such an early hour. _________________ Adopt-a-Brown: Jabaal Sheard - Stats:

Northampton vs Wolves in Carling cup tonight:
Dorien De Vries is the only garunteed starter but expect Ebanks-Blake, Milijas, Foley, Stearman, Craddock, Elokobi, Kitely, Hammil to all be names that feature. _________________

Yeah sod fighting a pikey.
We used to have them park up in the huge park we had behind our house (until the council put bollards up) and they were tough cookies. |

Very strong attacking line up.
Nice to see SEB scoring. _________________

Yeah, with all the money Leicester threw around it shocked me they didn't make a 4-5 million bid for SEB. He is garunteed 25 goals in the Champo.
EDIT 3-0 Blakey again.
Excellent how sharp he is. Really bodes well for us. My mate who's gone has been really impressed by the young RB Matt Doherty.
EDIT 4-0 Vokes
Anthony Forde and David Davis on. Forde is a real talent, only 17 and played great in friendly against Zaragoza. _________________

Bumped because Wolves ain't being on page 2.
Ronald Zubar has announced himself fit for Saturday on twitter. Big boost if he gets nod instead of Stearman (upgrade). _________________

No one pointed out a strong performance and getting a point on the road against a tough team? I guess I will, while also bumping this back to the first page.
I wasn't able to get up early to watch it so I actually recorded it on.... VHS!!!! god I miss my dvr... _________________ Adopt-a-Brown: Jabaal Sheard - Stats:

Brilliant point against Villa. We played pretty poorly for most of game but got away with a point - very promising sign IMO.
Sorry for delay but had a massive bender since Villa away Saturday lunch time.
Wayne Hennessey 9.5
Brilliant saves and claiming crosses all game long. His kicking was solid as usual and he really saved us on Saturday. MOTM
Richard Stearman 5
Decimated by Gabby A for most of the game and his distribution was poor (as was most of the team's).
Christophe Berra 7
Looked pretty solid for the most part and kept Heskey mostly in check.
Roger Johnson 6
Won everything in the air but made some really terrible passes and was beaten for pace by Gabby on a couple of occasions. Still organisizes the defence well and rallied us vitally at times. Last year we had no leadership in defence and we would have buckled without him. No doubt in my mind about that
Stephen Ward 8
Was brilliant going forward, particularly in the first half. Probably our best outfield player and kept N'Zogbia relatively quiet other than a few pot shots.
Matt Jarvis 7
Did a good job first half and created 2 or 3 good chances including Hunts header but was sacrificed early on in 2nd as we shut up shop.
Karl Henry 6
Constantly working and covered every blade of grass, but his passing was sloppy (a constant theme) and didn't add anything going forward.
Jamie O'Hara 5.5
One of his worst games as a Wolf. Gave the ball away all game and was worrying me by coming close to being sent off. After international break should come back and put in a performance against his old team though.
Stephen Hunt 6.5
Worked really hard, but missed our best chance when he should have scored and squandered some good crossing chances
Steven Fletcher 7
Won a great amount of headers and Dunne and looked a really useful outlet. Created chances for others and just looked allround threatening.
Kevin Doyle 6.5
Good solid display and created chances by running at Villa's defence. Should have pulled it back to Stearman for a tap in, mid way through the 2nd half though.
Kevin Foley 7
Calmed us down when he came on and acted as a 3rd CM. Very solid footballer who retained possession well.
As i said was totally delighted by point from a poor display. Top work. _________________

I dont think Villa played that great TBF, thats probably a credit to how good Wolves were, We had a period of 15-20 mins in the second half where we perhaps should have scored but other than that Wolves wernt really troubled....
Thats the dissapointing thing from a Villa pespective and of course the longer its 0-0 its anyones match to win going into the last 10 minutes _________________

No one signed in on deadline day. Pretty much as expected. Been a much quieter window for us this year with just three players brought in. Happy with our business though. Johnson and O'Hara gives us a reinforced spine and have already been big players for us. _________________

Yeah Ebanks is out for a month and we have let two other strikers go. Stephen Ward can play upfront though and did a really good job there last year. We should have signed a striker in for depth though.
I like what I've seen from Hooper. _________________

Hooper is just a pure goalscorer. Doesn't do much else. One of those, 'give him service and it's a goal' type players. Not sure if he could get it done in the PL though, and even if you did sign him could you drop Doyle or Fletcher for him? From what I've seen they've both started the season well and should continue to start. _________________
