i thought that the Bucs were pretty happy with the development of Sims last year. i hope that they do feel they need to move up in the draft tho. i like the prospects slated to be taken at their 1st rnd draft position. |

I dont buy it...they gave Greise a nice deal, so i dont see them drafting one in round 1 unless one falls to them...and even then, I see them going with Caddy, M-Dub, or Benson, whichever is available...
Plus they have Simms. i could see them taking a development guy in the 2nd-7th rounds, but not the first... |

I don't think that Smith will be there for the taking at #2. I am now convinced that the 49ers will take him at #1, leaving Rodgers to slide down the boards, possibly out of the top 10-15 picks. From what I have heard, Mike Nolan is the only one interested in Aaron Rodgers in the 49ers organization. The GM and everyone else likes Smith. So, if he doesn't fall to #2, then the dolphins will try to trade down.
I've also heard that the dolphins are looking to pick up 2 first rounders. With one pick they will draft a HB, then the other will get someone like David Pollack or Thomas Davis, the dolphins are interested in both of those guys.
Hopefully Saban could work out a trade with the Chargers. _________________ FF Member #1000

Actually, Mike Nolan has the final say for the 49ers. He's the equivalent to Saban or Belichick. If he likes Rodgers, then they'll take him. He's also got experience with Kyle Boller, Tedford's last star pupil which could help a lot. _________________ FF Member #1031 |

if Rodgers or Edwards is taken #1 overall, i think there will be more interest in teams trading up to grab ASmith or MDub.
it doesnt really matter to me whom we get if we are left in the #2 hole. i think that my personal list is:
Ronnie Brown
Alex Smith
Braylon Edwards
Mike Williams
PacMan **edit Alex Barron**
all of these guys will be a big hit for us. |

Actually, i just realized that SF has no GM right now...But, Nolan is not the equivalent of Saban, because Saban does hold the GM position. I have read some articles that say Nolan has final say, then others that say the team owner does. I guess we will find out soon enough. _________________ FF Member #1000

Another radio rumor:
Arizona/Buffalo trade of Shelton/Henry falls through
Tampa Bay trades pick to Buffalo for Henry
Tampa Bay trades up to get Alex Smith or Braylon Edwards
Bucs don't have the cap room to sign all the picks they have, so don't have a problem giving them up.
This was metioned on the Dan Sileo Show on the local Orlando sports station. He's a former Buc player (DL?). Inside info??? |

I would love Pollack even though we already added Holliday and Carter. He would get a lot of sacks with Taylor getting all the double teams and his speed.
I wouldnt be shocked that if we do take him, and then Carter bulks up a bit and moves to DT full time in 4-3, and 3-4 DE... |

ESPN reported that Tampa Bay is looking to move up and possibly trade with the dolphins in order to get a QB.
Possible trades:
TB gets #2, Miami gets #5, 2nd rounder, future pick or 3rd rounder?
TB gets #2, Miami gets Chris Simms, #5, 3rd Rounder?
Wow, I'll probably get blasted for that one...lol.
But, I think TB will try to talk the fins into taking simms and a 3rd, haven't watched Simms much, don't know how much potential he has. _________________ FF Member #1000
