WR Bradford was signed to a 1 year deal for $800k, which includes his signing bonus. They also resigned RB Wells but terms were not disclosed.

I am kinda puzzled by the Bradford signing because I don't know how much he adds to the team. I think that the Wells signing was a good one for them. He proved last year to be a good special teams player and stepped up with at least 2 100 yard games when Davis went down. He also proved to be a good short yardage and goal line back as well as giving a good change of pace from Davis.

My only guess is that with Williamson rising quickly on most peoples boards the Texans figure that they wont be drafting WR in the first round. Keeping Bradford for one year will allow us to draft a receiver later and groom them to take over next year. Personally I would like to see us get Roscoe Parrish in the second. He has great speed (4.39 - 40)and would give us an alternative in the return game. His only draw back is he is small. (5'9 and 168) I am disappointed with JJ Moses.

I agree with what was said about Roscoe Parrish, especially helping the return game, but I'd hate to burn a second rounder on a guy who may never be more than a third reciever and return man. Parish in the third would be a great value if he slips.

On Bradford, I wouldn't read too much into his signing. Eight Hundred K is chump change, especially when you consider his last deal was for like $5 million. They just signed him because he's fast, he knows the offense, and they got him for almost nothing. The fact that it was a one year deal should tell you that Bradford isn't in their long term plans and the Texans aren't in his.
