Apparently Sean May from UNC is hinting that he may return and hopes to persuade a couple fellow non-seniors to come back with him. Is this a good decision?

If he can get at least Felton or Marvin Williams back North Carolina will be a good team, and if both return they should be looking at another #1 seed. If both head to the NBA draft though, it may be rebuilding time for a year. May just had a dominant tournament and i dont know if his draft stock can get much higher.

I know this is awesome news. I am a big tarheel fan, It says in there that marv is wanting to come back and that felton might. If those two both stay we will be repeating. Its gonna be awesome.
I jus got one question.
"It's going to be great to look up in the stands and see 2005 national champions [on a banner]," he said. "Let's see if we can make it in 2006."
In that statement when it says he is it talking about mccants, because that would be awesome if he stayed.

I want to see the kid in the NBA, this is similar to the Leinhart sitation, although he might not be the number one pick, still, he has the talent to go to the NBA. I think he has some great years in him there

i think he has a good reason to stay in school, he could improve his game and be a beast in the NBA. Of course he could go pro and make money so its all up to him. I think if he stays he will be getting another ring though

I dont think he'll be a great NBA player. He's 6'9 playing C in college. He'd be a PF in the NBA. He'd get beat up night after night by other NBA PF's, especially if hes drafted by a western conference team. I can see him being no better than 13 point 7 rebound guy throught his career.

I think he can be a good player only if he is allowed to play PF and not Center. At center he will be beat up, but at PF he can use his superior height and power. He needs a jump shot though

6'9 is not a superior height at PF in the NBA. He'll be undersized in the NBA.

He might not go because he allready has money, he isnt like carmelo. His dad was a great basketball player. He is playing for all the right reasons.

There is no way 6'9'' is an undersized PF in todays NBA. Other than KG there arent many PF bigger than 6'9, that have talent atleast (aka Joe Smith). May is young and has long arms, he still has room to grow and will probably pack on some weight in the league. IMO at PF he has the potential to be an All-Star, at Center he will be average.

Tim Duncan, Jermaine O'Neal, Rasheed Wallace, Chris Webber, Emeka Okeafor, Amare Stoudamire, Chris Bosh, Dirk Nowitzki. All 6-10 or taller.

Only guy that is an incredible success at PF thats shorter than 6-10 is Elton Brand. I highly doubt May can do what brand does.

I'm pretty sure Stoudamire is listed at 6"9. Also, remember that Nowitzki plays C occasionally, along nwith Duncan and O'Neal.

But Mossburg is right that PF's can be bigger than 6"9-its preferable actually, not needed, but preferable...

Amare is listed at 6-10 on all the sites I can find.

Many PF's at times play C due to foul trouble, or due to the coach trying to exploit mismatches, but that doesnt mean they are natural C's. All the guys I listed are natural PF's that can play C.

I agree that it is preferable to have a bigger PF but there jsut arent that many. May has the size to stay with any of these guys in the post( other than Duncan and ONeill).

He just turned 21 on April 4th and is listed at 6'9'' 266 lbs. I think by the time his body fully matures his size wont be much of an issue.
