Joe Johnson, Tony Brackens, Jason Gildon OLB/DE, they would be good to sign if they don't ask for too much $. Then they draft a CB and DT in the 1st 2 rounds and take a DE later. _________________ POINT PROVEN!!!! |

| The Redskins past of signing veterans in the offseason hasn't been good. They need to focus on young talent and molding them to play together. The defesne has a great chemistry and it's only going to be better with a healthy Lavar Arrington. I'm sure they'll get a DE and a CB in the draft that will fit the scheme properly. The offense is really a big, physical receiver and a young guard away from being solid. A tight end that can catch would be a good fit as well. If Kevin Everett is available in the third round, when the Redskins select, he wouldn't be a bad consideration. He's a good blocker and is very athletic. There are some concerns with his durability, but what football player doesn't get banged up? The Redskins don't need to go for the 'big bang'. Look at the Patriots... they are the best team in football and why? They have a lot of depth and they play together. The Redskins really need to trade down and acquire a 1st and second rounder. They can address their need for a cornerback in the first round. Then I think they should take a WR depending on who's available in the second. They Redskins should target Larry Brackins, Vincent Jackson or Chris Henry in the second-third rounds. In the third round, the Redskins can opt for a tight end or defensive end. In the later rounds they can target the MLB position or G. |

I'm pretty sure that Greg Williams gets the most input for the defense. If he liked any of those guys and they could work a deal, I'm sure they would have tried by now. They may be waiting until after the draft, so they can see what needs they still have and start collecting from the fallout of other teams. |

| There is another round of cuts after June 1st and the redskins are certainly waiting until after the draft to go after vets. There are still a few big names to be cut for cap space and to finalize rosters. We can still have a great offseason depending how the draft pans out and how much depth we can sign though cut players. |
