| I want to do a mock draft and would like input from each team’s forum so I can understand what your needs are. Please give good reasons for the picks you make and list the positions you need in order of most important. Thanks. |

#1 priority - LB & CB
I am sure the board is full of LB's and CB's at the the top. I think the CB depth in this draft is favorable for a pick like Rogers or Miller.
BUT, if picks 1-15 don't take the top 3 LB's, I would say Ware or Crowder.
Hopefully we learned our lesson with Sullivan and won't trade up for DJ or pac-man. |

we don't need a LB or CB in the 1st round. The draft is extremely deep in those positions. Please don't have us take a 1st round LB or CB. Instead...we should take an OT or Best Player Available. If Barron, Barnes, or Brown is there...we should take him. Then...look if none of them are there...we should take Thomas Davis to play SS. This is of course, unless a great player falls to us...in that case...we get the BPA.
in the 2nd round...we should focus on DT, LB, CB, OG. If either Luis Castillo or David Baas is there..the Saints should get him. If not...the Saints should look toward a LB or CB.
In the 3rd round it will be LB all the way. Michael Boley, Robert McCune, Odell Thurman as three possibilities. |

Priorities listed in order:
1-RT-With Victor "False Start" Riley a FA and most likely gone, and the signing of Mayberry to play RG, we need a true RT so Mayberry isnt forced to play out of position. Jamaal Brown or Barnes make sense here.
2-LB-OLB or MLB. if we draft a MLB we can move Watson outside and if we draft an OLB, he can compete with Allen for the starting spot. Burnett or Crowder.
3-SS-Bellamy is getting up there, age wise, and is liable in pass coverage. Thomas Davis (if hes there)
4-CB-Fahkir Brown is our #2 corner. nuff said. Miller or Rogers, would be great. |
