The didn't beat themselves, the Patriots beat them.
That statement is just an attempt to discredit New England.
It's not like the Steelers were turning the ball over left and right. NE just lined up and out manned them last night, period.

... No need to take the statement personally. He also said that Lebeau was completely outcoached. Sounds like he was giving credit to me... And are you denying that the Steelers receivers dropped more than your usual amount of big passes? |
Maybe they dropped it in fear of a Clark-onWelker-esque cheap shot |
I really don't get why you would think this is necessary. Blatant attempts to incite a reaction are a bit low, don't you think? _________________

Look kid, and by the posts you have made on here that's all you are, save the cheap shot remarks when your own player Merriweather is one of the biggest in the league. Look in your own house before making a whiny statement like that. |
Don't forget Wilfork: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3POT8n2Qk3g
Or their former beloved safety, Rodney Harrison.
Hypocrisy would appear to be a strength of his. |
Exactly. Two excellent examples. A Pat fan talking about other team's cheap shots is hilarious. _________________

I'm suprised no fine has come down for the helmet to helmet hit on Hines Ward that resulted in his concussion.
Despite the fact that it was very similar to Harrison's hit on Mohamed Massaquoi.
Of course no penalty was called at the time, but even Chris Collinsworth commented during the game that it was probably fineable.
I'm not complaining; just commenting. If anything its a little more evidence of the league's hypocracy. _________________

No offense, but Cris Collinsworth commenting on it being dirty, if anything, makes it the total opposite and probably why Goodell won't fine Sanders.
I won't lie, guys, I really enjoyed that game last night and even my best friend who I always watch Pats games with commented on how I never get fired up during games (even when we're at the game) loved how fired up I was getting last night. I got pumped when I saw Brady get pumped. Regardless of the trash talking that will take place always between the two fanbases, it's also a fact that the Patriots and Steelers run the NFL and are the class of the NFL. 5 superbowls between the two in 10 years, this was a real clash of the titans. I hope none of you actually find Brady or company "classless" due to celebrating after touchdowns or the such, because as fans, you would love to see that from your team against a team of that caliber. Anyway, I hope Ward doesn't miss any time. And I hope both fanbases really understand what's important this season: making sure Raven fans aren't ever happy. _________________ Yo, is that time machine done yet? |

I went to the game last night.
Great experience, but from the first set of drives (from both the Pats and Steelers), I knew it was going to be a bad night.
The best thing, by far last night, was being right behind the Steelers bench and listening to Reed get ABSOLUTELY VERBALLY DESTROYED by Steeler fans. After he missed the 29 yard field goal, I heard some of the funniest things I ever heard from some of these fans, and they were relentless, from the time he missed it until he walked off the field. _________________

Yes. And that's why we don't complain about questionable hits and we know Harrison is partial to them. Unlike you Patriots fans. |

I know what you mean. My girl was getting ready for work and her daughter, whom I wish wouldn't have been here, were riding my ars about how pissed I was getting and it was only the first quarter. It just had that vibe last night.
One thing I learned, seeing them play a quality opponent was the Steelers are a very average football team. _________________

| So I'm not the only one that was worried after the first drive. Also, even through the T.V you could sense that feeling all over the stadium. I think that effect everyone. |

Hey, no one in New England is saying Meriweather is a clean player, he throws that helmet around like Brady throws the ball around, but Troy P and Woodley came up with some really cheap shots on Brady last night and I would have thought Woodley would have been nicer to Brady than that. Does Michigan alumni mean nothing anymore?! _________________ Yo, is that time machine done yet? |

Nope I was with ya there bud. When they went up 7-0 I looked over to my grandpa and said "We Lost". He chuckled and said theres alot of football to be played but he says stuff to try to calm me down but it wasnt working. I just knew right then and there the night would only go down hill from there _________________

Let's drop the cheap shots talk. That's been discussed enough and it only leads the thread in a bad direction.
Thanks. _________________

You mean being pushed and falling like normal humans do when their feet are not under them and someone added impetus?
Clearly the guy is a dirtbag based on that video. _________________
