Man Ohio State looked great last night in their opening game.
Ohio State 102
N Carolina A&T 61
Sullinger was suppose to be the best freshman coming in for Ohio State but Deshaun Thomas stole the show last night. Deshaun Thomas looks to be the 6th man for these buckeyes and boy did he make an impact. He came off the bench and scored 24points. He started quick too, seconds after entering the game he nailed a 3pointer in the corner.
if the freshman can play at an Elite level to go along with 4 returning starters from Last years sweet 16team this could be a very special Ohio State team.
Sullinger had 19pts and 14rebs
Lighty had 10pts 7rebs and 3ast
Diebler had 9
Buford had 11pts 7reb and 4ast
Lauderdale had 12pts 13rebs
Thomas had 24pts and 8reb
Craft had 8pts and 9ast
thats a solid outing right there for their first game of the year.
Ohio State has a real tough test coming up in florida Tuesday the 16
O-H... |

William Buford and Jon Diebler along with David Lighty return to form a trio of scorers looking to improve their numbers in order to make up for the loss of Turner.
David Lighty, about as solid as they come. Best defender in the country in my opinon. His ball handling will be important. If he can PG our backcourt can be devastating to a lot of teams.
Diebler's responsibilities probably won't change much as he is what he is: a sharpshooter. If he can FINNALY show us consistency we will be unbeatable.
Buford could end up being the team's best player.
Sullinger is a bruiser with soft hands and probably the most polished low post game of any of Matta's recruits
Dallas Lauderdale will continue to be what I call the "Kendrick Perkins role." Just be a mean SOB and be a tough interior defender.
Bench
Deshaun Thomas is a scorer, flat out. Think Michael Redd, only bigger, and a better defender. He's regarded as one of the best three players at his position and a top 20 player overall. Chances are he may be the newcomer that helps fill Turner's massive shoes on the perimeter as he can slash into the paint.
Jordan Sibert, Lenzelle Smith, and Aaron Craft, along with small forward J.D. Weatherspoon. Will be the future of the team
I could see this team winning it all. Losing Turner hurts but it forces Buford to step up. I believe this kid can be a special player. Also Jared Sullinger will provide toughness inside with Dallas. Deshaun Thomas can help provide defense on big athletic wingman. [/img] |

Gonna be a fun year, I saw highlights last night and they looked good
I just worry about filling the role of ET. Who takes the GW shot?
We have some good experience though, that will help the freshmen out a lot _________________ Rest In Peace crakburn and B2TB :: '08 AND '09 Footballs Future Fantasy Baseball Keeper League Champion

This team looks soo much better than last year. Its amazing what happens when your starting 5 to have to average 39.5 minutes a game. The depth of this team will be what gets them over the hump. Now if Big D gets in foul trouble we dont have to depend on our SF/PG to pick up all the rebounding slack. Craft looked like a very smart and instinctful player last game. if he plays like that this year we will be in the thick of things for the final 4. I hope they make a run because I got my tickets for Houston allready and hope one of or both of my teams are there. |

I haven't seen Aaron Craft yet. If he can be a solid player our bench is gonna be nasty with him and deshaun |

damn Ohio State looked damn good tonight...they started slow in the first half but man after halftime they came out fired up.
Lighty and Sullinger both scored 26 points a piece
if Ohio State can get Buford and Diebler shooting like they did, they were 6/11 from 3pt each this team would be deadly because it would open the paint up for Lighty and Sullinger and Thomas all game long |

He's such a good recruiter. I thought a lot about your coach question in the thread in Browns forum, and its a very tough call between the two Buckeye coaches _________________ Rest In Peace crakburn and B2TB :: '08 AND '09 Footballs Future Fantasy Baseball Keeper League Champion
