Let me know what your hopes are for the draft. Be reasonable. Show who the person is, position, and what school they went. Also how they would benefit the Steelers. You can have trades, just show how it helps both teams.
Here's mine:
1. Adam Terry-OT Syracuse- Takes over at RT,Stabilizes the line, helps with depth, Solid starter for years.
2. Trade with Philly We Get:#34 pick overall
They Get:#62 pick, this years 4th,next years 3rd rounder.
Steelers select Matt Jones-WR/TE Arkansas- Freak, we've had success with putting people at new positions, could be the next Antonio Gates at either WR or TE.Can create huge match-up problems and gives us a Plaxico Burress + more speed and athletic ability- the attitude.
3. Ronald Bartrell-CB Howard -With a deep CB draft, he will fall. Good physical skills(size, speed). More help against the 4-5 WR we'll face. Willie Williams is old, Townsend is coming up in age.Ike Taylor seems to be going backwards in terms of development.Could eventually become starter beside Colclough.
Let me know what you think. Leave comments and your mock. |

I'm not selecting Jones in the First.
I think Bartell could be there for us in the second without having to make a deal. |

either he edited his post or you weren't reading it canada, he has jones in the second and bartell in the third. wich i really like. as you can see.
1. DeMarcus Ware, OLB Troy - would give the steelers more of a dominating pass rush, wich had faultered at the end of the season, we could pressure anyone the last third of the season, and porter can be the #1 OLB for much longer.
2. Matt Jones, WR Ark - big, fast, has all the tools to develop into an amazing player able to create mismatches all over the field. and i dont think we will need to trade up to get him. if we do it would only be about 5-10 spots not 30.
3. Ronald Bartell Jr., CB Howard - again, size, strenght, and speed. althought if there was an o-lineman that looks good at this point i would not be oppossed to taking him. |

| I really like Bartell and could see him eventually switching to FS and giving us a guy like Eugene Wilson. He has the size and speed, and willingness to takle...This guy can be good in a year or two. |

No, somebody would like to get their hands on him before the Steelers(maybe even the Eagles with whom i proposed the trade with) pick. He is too much of a physical specimen to last to the steelers at our 2nd round pick.
The trade i proposed i believe is fair for both teams with us getting a great player and the eagles getting more picks.
Overall all we lose in that trade is a 4th round pick because we'll get compensatory picks next year. |

There's talk that the Cincinnati Bengals are really interested in Matt Jones. Meaning, they could take whatever player they wanted in the 1st round, and then take Matt Jones with their 2nd round pick. He would give Carson Palmer a great big target to throw to. _________________

To Sali44:
I've seen Adam Terry go as high as #22 to Baltimore to only half way in the 2nd round.Alot have him going to the 49ers with the first pick in the 2nd round pick.
He's a solid player and from what i've heard, he had a solid combine and workout.Personally, i think he could be the BPA come draft day when the Steelers pick. |

| I think Canada may mean that he wouldn't want to take Jones at all. Just my opinion though. Also no need for OLB plenty of talent there. GO after the OL get some depth in there. |

Jones in round one would be a bad idea. He's not good value there, no matter how much he's liked. Getting a bigtime Mike Mamula vibe if he's a 1st rounder.
He's worth a third. Risk as a second. Nuts in the first. Just my $.02. |

| Is that trade similar to the one we made for Troy Polamalu? I am really starting to like Troy Williamson. The guy is exactly what we need and has a ton of talent. |
