Stefan LeFors QB Louisville 6’ 208
By: Robert Davis

After backing up current Houston Texan Dave Ragone for two years, LeFors became a starter, and has been one of the most underrated players in college football. As a junior in 2003, LeFors threw for 3,145 yards while completing 61.3% of his passes, with a 17/10 TD/INT ratio. LeFors was even more efficient as a senior, throwing for 2,596 yards, 20 touchdowns to just 3 interceptions, and completed over 73% of his passes. During those two seasons, LeFors also totaled 738 yards with 6 touchdowns on the ground.

There may not be a more efficient QB in the draft than LeFors. He shows excellent accuracy, does not force things, and does not turn the ball over. He is also a great athlete and has very good mobility on the field. Whether it is eluding the rush in the pocket or tucking it, LeFors is very good at it. Perhaps most important of all, he possesses every intangible you could want in a quarterback. He is tough, a great team player, a great leader, and is a hard worker.

LeFors is lacking size both in height and in bulk. He can’t do anything about his height, but he can get stronger at the next level. He also does not come equipped with a very good arm.

The lack of size and arm strength hurts LeFors draft position. He likely will not hear his name called on the first day because of it. But he does have everything that the NFL looks for mentally, is one of those guys that could really surprise in the next level. He’s got some Doug Flutie in him. When it comes to the draft everyone falls in love with the ideal physical specimen, and overlook the good football players. LeFors is a good football player, and should find a role in the NFL.
