Andrew Walter QB Arizona St. 6’5 235
By: Robert Davis

Andrew Walter has been on the NFL’s radar since his sophomore season. When you see a QB as big and with as strong an arm as Walter, scouts take note. During his 4 years at ASU, Walter racked up 10,617 passing yards, 85 TD passes to just 36 INT, while completing over 54% of his passes. He capped off his career with a great senior season, throwing for 3,150 yards, 30 touchdowns, 9 interceptions, while completing over 57% of his passes.

Walter is your prototypical pocket passer. He is tall, has a strong arm, and can tear apart a defense from the pocket. He is a team leader, can carry the team on his shoulders, and works very hard off the field.

Being a pure drop back passer, Walter doesn’t have the greatest mobility. He is not the most accurate passer either. He can force passes at times, and pressure can cause him to make a bad read.

Andrew Walter has the look of a Drew Bledsoe. He can carry you at times, but then he’ll make you question what’s going on upstairs with some of his throws. I think Walter is a solid prospect, and has good upside in the NFL. Walter is arguably the top senior QB available, and should be taken on Day 1 somewhere.
